Terms and Conditions

Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire C&D Yakima Insulation Solutions to do at your house or building. When you browse the site, starting at our home page, ask for an estimate or book a job, you agree to them.
If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site. Call us before any work starts so we can talk it through. When a written estimate or job agreement says something different from this page, the written agreement for that job wins.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Yakima, WA, and we work in the cities around it. Our crew handles attics, walls, crawl spaces, basements, air sealing, vapor barriers, spray foam, blown-in insulation and removing old insulation. We're licensed and insured. You can read more about who we are on our About page.
What you read on this site is general information about insulation. It isn't a plan for your house, because every attic and crawl space is different. Your plan comes from what we see when we come out and look.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and done on site, with no pressure and no obligation. The price depends on what's actually there, like the size of the space, how many inches are already up there, the condition of the old material, how many gaps need sealing and how hard the space is to reach.
An estimate is based on what we can see before the job is open. If we find something hidden once we start, like old insulation that's soaked or full of droppings, we stop, show you, and explain what it changes. We won't do extra work or add to your price without your OK.
Prices or examples mentioned on this site are general and aren't an offer. An estimate is good for the period written on it.
Scheduling and cancellation
We set a start date with you. Weather, material deliveries or what we find on an earlier job can move it, so we'll tell you as soon as we know about a change.
Please make sure we can reach the attic hatch, crawl space access or work area, and move stored items out of the way so the crew can work safely. Some materials, like spray foam, mean you, your kids and your pets need to stay out until the re-entry time, the point when it's safe to come back inside. We'll tell you before the job if that applies and how long it is.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. If we've already ordered material special for your job, the written agreement for that job says what costs, if any, carry over.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written on your estimate or job agreement. Please read them before you sign.
If a payment is late, we may charge late fees or collection costs where the agreement says so and Washington law allows it. If you're having trouble paying, call us early, because it's easier to work something out before a bill goes overdue.
Our guarantee and warranty limits
We stand behind our work, and satisfaction is guaranteed on every job. If something about the work we did isn't right, call us and we'll come back to look and make it right.
Insulation, foam and vapor barrier products carry the maker's own warranty, and we pass those along to you. We don't give any other warranty beyond what's written in your job agreement.
Our guarantee covers our work. It doesn't cover problems that were there before we came or that we didn't cause, like roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pests, mold, faulty wiring or damage from later work by others. If we spot one of those, we'll tell you.
This website is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's free of errors or always available.
Limits on our liability
To the extent Washington law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a room, lost income, or energy savings that turn out lower than you hoped. Your power bill depends on a lot more than insulation, like your heating and cooling system, the weather and how the house is used.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that Washington law doesn't let a business limit.
Settling disagreements
If you're unhappy with anything, call us at (509) 517-6081 first. Most problems get fixed faster with a conversation and a return visit than with paperwork.
If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation in Yakima County before going to court. If that doesn't resolve it, the case will be heard in the courts of Yakima County, Washington.
Which law applies
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to rules that would point to another state's law.
Changes and questions
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the one that applies, and a signed job agreement keeps the terms it was signed under.
If you have a question about these terms or about hiring an insulation contractor in Yakima, WA, call us at (509) 517-6081 or use the form on our Contact page. We reply within one business day.
